A new track from Ghana’s Mutombo, first release from an album coming in 2013. This time – and foreshadowing many collaborations – Mutombo works with M3NSA.

This is a really nice, fine track, M3NSA’s gentle funk beat rolls along nicely and Mutombo puts the silk in his voice. Already my favourite from Mutombo, really looking forward to hearing a new full album with more collaboration like this.

M3NSA has been bringing his infectious mixture of afrobeat, soul and hip-life (Ghanaian urban music blending hip hop and high life) to London and Europe. If you don’t know of M3NSA the movie Coz Ov Moni is a great introduction to him and his compatriot Wanlov the Kubolor (together they are FOKN Bois). A day-in-the-life story of two friends in Accra trying to collect on a debt. It’s a total joy, world’s first pidgin musical! Great beats, fun story, foolery and nice light from director King Luu. Be light, be in love, enjoy!
