Reverb on Verse: Melbourne spoken word album launches

Officially launching in June,  a fresh compilation of spoken word and music by Melbourne based female and gender diverse poets and producers.

This great project was initiated in 2016 by PBS 106.7FM presenters Jess Fairfax and Leah Avene. They brought together poets and producers in Melbourne last year with a simple request - make some poetry and music together.

I had the pleasure of working with the great young poet Sukhjit Kaur Khalsa, on her poem To Advance Australia Fair - the same poem she brought the house down with on Australian TV. Love this lady!

We're in good company - the final product is Reverb on Verse; 10 exquisite spoken word pieces accompanied by emotive soundscapes. The album boasts the sounds of producers Beatrice, Woodes, Lapkat, Beth AQ, Jess Fairfax, Memphis Kelly (Saatsuma) and Ania Reynolds, who've created music to hug the words of poets Izzy Roberts-Orr, Sinit Tsegay, Katherine Gailer, Quinn Eades, Emilie Zoey Baker, Sukhjit Kaur Khalsa, Jessie Giles and Ebony Moncreif.
